Solar PV Project: Curry Solar Farm

Download This Case Study

The Curry Solar Farm is a utility-scale, ground mount solar system that was developed by Velo in partnership with a group of other solar developers and investors through the Georgia Power ASI program. This special program allows developers to build large-scale solar PV arrays and sell the energy exclusively back to the utility for a rate established through a Power Purchase Agreement.

Georgia Power’s agreement required a unique design with 17 individual arrays at 100 kW each.

Project Scope – Velo Solar provided engineering oversight for the solar PV array and assisted in project commissioning. Velo’s parent company, Empower Energy Technology, is a co-owner of the array.
