LED Project: dk Gallery

dk Gallery, located at the historic Marietta Square in an updated 1800’s storefront, calls itself “a trendsetter among metro Atlanta art galleries.” The gallery represents the work of more than 35 mixed media artists and also offers a functional and sophisticated space for special event rentals.

As any art aficionado understands, perfect lighting is one of the most significant contributors to properly display museum quality work. That’s why dk Gallery decided to replace its 75W incandescent PAR 38 lamps with 15W LED PAR 38 lamps. These new lamps deliver a much higher light output and reflect a 5000K light temperature which has a much higher color rendering index suitable for art galleries.

Not only did the gallery improve its light quality to provide a higher quality ambient light, but they also saw a 60% reduction in energy costs.
