Sharon Lee attends 2022 South Carolina Manufacturing Conference and Expo

Velo Solar was proud to attend and exhibit at the 2022 South Carolina Manufacturing Conference and Expo in Greenville, SC.

The event was very well attended, and included dynamic educational sessions, which is quite fitting, considering the state is one of the fastest growing manufacturing hubs in the Southeast. There were a number of educational topics that centered around technology and AI, along with auto, aerospace and biotech segments.

My favorite session, by far, was Women in Manufacturing: Leaders and Influencers. It explored the industry’s attitude toward recruiting and promoting women and how it’s changing; how the gender gap is narrowing; and how women are navigating this challenging industry.

The panel, comprised of female executives from facilities around the state of South Carolina, answered questions, offered advice and shared stories about their rise through the ranks, while discussing their thoughts on the future.

The conference ended with its 25^th annual awards luncheon, honoring manufacturers in a variety of categories.
